Using the tools
Will the 10PCS work on a bolt that's snapped off flush?
That's one of the two cases it's built for. Centre-punch the stub, drill a pilot hole down the middle with a standard twist bit, then drive the extractor in. The reverse spiral cuts its own grip inside the hole, so there's nothing left to slip out of.
My Allen bolt is rounded out. Do I have to drill it?
No. The rounded socket is already your pilot hole. Pick the extractor that sits snug in the recess, tap it in, and turn counter-clockwise. This is the fastest case the kit handles.
What tools do I need alongside the 10PCS kit?
A 1/2" socket on an impact wrench, ratchet or breaker bar. The extractor body is a 1/2" hex, so it's driven by a socket rather than a drill chuck. You only need a drill if the bolt snapped off flush and you have to make a pilot hole first.
What tools do I need alongside the 14PCS set?
A hammer to tap the socket on, and something to turn it — a ratchet, breaker bar or impact wrench. It's 3/8" drive. The included adapter converts 1/4" hex to 3/8" square, so a drill or impact driver drives it too.
What's the difference between the 10PCS and the 14PCS set?
It comes down to how the fastener failed.
The 10PCS bites from the inside — for heads that are gone, snapped off flush, or with a rounded-out Allen socket.
The 14PCS is a socket set that grips from the outside — for heads that are still there but rounded past the point a wrench can hold.
Neither replaces the other, which is why most people take the bundle.
Will the extractor break off inside the bolt?
Cheap extractors made of soft metal do exactly that, and it turns a bad day into a much worse one. These are heat-treated so the tool stays harder than the fastener. Turn it steadily with a socket and let the spiral bite rather than forcing it.
The socket is stuck on the bolt after it came out.
That grip is what makes it work. Knock the bolt back out of the socket from the open end with a punch or another bolt.
Can I use these more than once?
Yes. Clean them off and put them back in the case. The same bit handles the next stuck fastener.
Shipping and delivery
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed in 1–2 business days. Delivery to the United States, United Kingdom and Canada runs 7–12 business days from dispatch.
My tracking hasn't updated. Is my order lost?
Almost certainly not. Tracking takes 2–4 business days to start updating after the label is created — that's the parcel waiting on its first carrier scan. If it hasn't moved in 10 business days, email us the order number and we'll open an investigation with the carrier.

How much is shipping?
$4.99 flat, free on orders over $49, to all three countries we ship to.
Will I be charged customs or import tax?
Orders to the United Kingdom and Canada may be charged import VAT, GST/HST or duty plus a carrier handling fee on delivery. These are set by your government and carrier, not by us, and we have no way to collect them in advance. See our Shipping Policy for typical rates.
What is Shipping Protection?
An optional $2.95 add-on. If your parcel is lost, stolen after delivery, or arrives damaged, we send a replacement or refund you straight away — no carrier investigation, no police report, no proof beyond telling us what happened.
I entered the wrong address.
Email us immediately with the order number and the correct address. If the order hasn't dispatched we can usually fix it. Once it's with the carrier we can't redirect it.
Returns and guarantee
Can I return it after I've actually used it?
Yes — that's the point. You can't tell whether a tool works without putting it on a real fastener. Email support@modnestic.com within 60 days with your order number. Signs of use are expected, not a disqualifier, and you don't need to ship a used tool back.
What if I just changed my mind?
Email us within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is at your cost and the item should be complete and in its case. Full details in the Return and Refund Policy.
How long does a refund take?
We issue it to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. Your bank may take a few days longer to show it.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us as soon as you can with the order number. If it hasn't dispatched we can usually change or cancel it. Once it's with the carrier, the 60-day guarantee is your route.
Do you sell anywhere else?
No. Modnestic kits are sold through modnestic.com only. Listings elsewhere using our photos are not ours, and we can't honor the guarantee on them.
